writer and director
of your wildest creams

Henry Stone is an Australian comedy writer, director and producer. Known for the 2021 Adult Swim Infomercial A Life In Questions - Wisdom School with Aaron Chen, Stone currently has two shorts, Blood Sugar Sex Yowie and The 2IC in the 2023 festival circuit. The 2IC is the only comedy to play in the Dendy Best Shorts competition at SFF.

His work explores themes of delusion, the barbed nature of individualism and Australian deadshittery. He likes to cook up stories about millennial grimelords, using a combination of visual lyricism, esoteric music and an editing ryhtm that cares for both the heartfelt and the dumbfelt at once.

In his work as a commercial comedy director he has helmed projects for Square, Cashrewards, Mr Black, St George, Vicks, Trov and Bubble.
He won the Australian Directors Guild award for best digital comedy direction in 2021 and the Australian Writers Guild award for best comedy writing in 2017.

From 2018-2020 Stone was commissioned to write and direct 10 originals for Comedy Central AU/NZ including two digital series, No Experience Necessary and Share This and also wrote and performed  the 2017 anthology series Fancy Boy for ABC.

He directed the debut stand up specials for both Sam Campbell and Aaron Chen, is a writer for Taskmaster and additionally he produced all the music videos for the album Palaces by musician Flume.

Stone works with Junkyard Management in Australia and 3Arts in the USA.
